Our story

Founded over 40 years ago out of a love for the lake and sailing, the Velzna club has deep roots in the surrounding area, from which it also takes its name.
Velzna was in fact the name of the ancient Etruscan city on the lake, which later became the Roman city of Volsinii, from which the name of the lake itself, Bolsena, also took its origin.
Velzna, which overlooks the lake with its own beach, is a sailing club with passionate members who, throughout the year, take care of the space available, enjoying nature, the lake, the peace and quiet, and practicing the sport of sailing.
